Increasing Your Sense of Deserving

In order to manifest our dreams, we need to align our self-image with the life we would love living.

If your sense of deserving isn’t wide and deep enough to hold your dream, you will fall short.

How do you know if you deserve your dream?

If you are breathing, you deserve to have your heart’s desire.  Simply by virtue of you being alive you are worthy and deserving of your dream.

You wouldn’t feel the longing if you didn’t have the capacity to manifest your dream.

Here are three keys to increasing your sense of deserving:

  1. Focus on the good.

Circumstances are bad only if you perceive them as such.  Instead of panicking when life appears to throw you a curve, wait and invite God to reveal the good.  Then give yourself the same benefit of the doubt.  You are naturally good because God created you.

  1. Let go of past mistakes.

It’s hard to move confidently into the life you have imagined if you are lugging deadweight.  When you persist in carrying the baggage of your childhood, your shame or your belief that you are unlovable, you have no room for greater possibility.  Let go of encumbrances by identifying and releasing your own Harry.

  1. Practice gratitude to increase your sense of deserving.

An “attitude of gratitude” enables you to construct your dream on a solid foundation of deserving.  Begin by spending a day giving thanks to those you’ve criticized.  From there, build a pattern of daily gratitude.  When we begin to appreciate those we once condemned or took for granted, the field around the object of our appreciation broadens, attracting to itself even greater good.

When you practice these three principles, you will feel your sense of deserving expand and you’ll begin to see unexpected good things flow into your life.

Your Are Worthy!

Is Your Dream Right For You?

It is important that the dream or goal we put our energy into is one that is in alignment with our purpose and core values.

Geoffrey Avert said that, “The most important thing about having a goal is having one.” The same goes for your dream. You must first establish your dream, and establish that this dream is a good fit for you before it can be manifested into a reality.

Here are five questions that will help you determine whether or not your dream is right for you…

  1. Do you feel passion for your dream?  When you’ve chosen the right dream you will feel emotionally connected to your dream.  Thinking about your dream will give you an expanded sense of aliveness.
  2. Does the dream align with your core values?  Your dream must align with your core values in order for it to manifest.  If your dream is in conflict with your values, it
  3. Does your dream cause you to grow?
  4. Do you need help from a Higher Power?  If you know all the steps to bring your dream to fruition, it’s not a big enough dream.  Dreams are the Universe’s way of helping us grow and expand ourselves.
  5. Is there good in your dream for others?  The Universe is always seeking expansion, and a dream that is aligned with your true self will always include some good for others.

Your mind may play host to a myriad of wishes, but you need to distinguish your deepest desire from whims and passing fancies.

You are endowed with the power to choose that dream closest to your heart, and by co-creating with God, you can embark on a path that will manifest that dream.

To Your Highest Life,

Igniting Your Desire

Making the decision to dream big can be a scary endeavour for many people, and yet it’s the exercise that leads us to living a life we absolutely love.

What if we gave ourselves permission to dream beyond our current reality? Where could these thoughts take us?

Taking these three steps can help you begin building your dream life.

Honour your discontent.

Discontent is an important signal from our soul that something bigger is seeking to emerge through us.  Give yourself permission to enter and explore the realm of your deep desires.

Harness this discontent by letting the dream begin to live in your mind and heart as a true possibility.  Notice your body and your emotions.  Does the feeling of desire heighten and your sense of aliveness?  An expanded feeling of aliveness is an important indicator that you are on the right path.

Practice repeating “Up until now…” to keep thoughts of your past experience from limiting your possible futures.

If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get the results you’ve always gotten.  Pause for a moment.  You’ll hear the old chatter that dictates every reason for not taking a risk.  Listen, then pause.  All these negative experiences and disappointments may have been true in the past.  Now is the time to shrug them off.  Your history does not determine your destiny.  All your disappointments and regrets belong to a time that is ending at this moment.  In the next moment, let out your yearnings in a first roar of awakening.  This is a roar of triumph.

Consciously co-create with God, and the impossible becomes possible.

Co-creation means you partner with Spirit to build the greatest life you can live.  When you recognise yourself as a co-creator, you ask for guidance and break through the self-imposed barriers that have stood between yourself and your desires.  Begin each new day thanking God and concentrating on a desire of yours that you previously believed was out of reach.  Just for that day, act as if what you wanted was possible.  Then see what transforms.

Here’s to your BEST LIFE!

Four Steps to Activating Your Abundance

Good news: you get to choose what kind of life you are going to live.

Some people live ninety years; some people live one year ninety times.  You can live a life pushed by discontent and unsettledness, or you can live a life overflowing with abundance.

What kind of life are you willing to live?

Step 1: Ask yourself whether you are willing to live in abundance.

There are two houses, one with electricity and one without.  The wires are available to them both, but only those in the lit house have figured out how to hook themselves up.  Those in the lit house are not “lucky.”  They are simply plugged into the laws of electricity.

In the same way, people who achieve success in life are not lucky.  Well-being and a sense of full aliveness are not accidental.  Everything works according to law.  The people who live in an ever-improving state of well-being do things a certain way.  They have learned the secrets of the universe’s laws, and they practice them with ever-greater skill throughout their lives.

Anyone can have abundance in life.  We are supposed to have abundance.  We are meant for it.  The universe doesn’t hold abundance back; we hold it from ourselves.

Your first step is to ask yourself a question: Would it really be okay if the universe opened the door to you?  Would it really be okay if you began to live at a much higher octave of abundance?  Are you willing?

Step 2: Say Yes!

Don’t answer the question quickly.  You set new things in motion just by that answer.  If you say “Yes,” a really wholehearted “Yes,” new things will happen just by that “Yes!”  If your answer is, “What does that mean?” or “What do I have to give up?” or “What new things will come into my life?” then you are hesitant.  You are not able to manage a broader level of experience because you are not willing.

But if you say “I really want to live in harmony, I really want to live in the abundance of the universe,” then your life will begin to grow in abundance.

Step 3: Grasp your “Set Point.”

Somewhere in your belief system, you have a set point for how much abundance you belief you can have.  If you want to know what your set point is, look at your life.  We create the lives we believe we ought to have: a certain amount of love, a certain amount of money, a certain amount of happiness.  These beliefs may not be conscious, but they are still there, controlling our level of abundance.

Of course, sometimes something extraordinary overcomes our set point.  We might get an inheritance, or someone could take us out to dinner.  Surprising, wonderful things can come into our lives, but unless we have built a consciousness that can hold the experience and make it ours, we will find some way to get rid of it.  Over 90% of lottery winners return to their original incomes within three years of winning the lottery—even those who win millions and millions of dollars.  Somehow they spend money, give money away, buy things that lose value, until they have no winnings left, and they have returned to their  set point.  To really win the lottery, you have to build a consciousness that attracts and accepts and stabilizes abundance.

There is no set point in the universe.  The set point is marked according to our own thinking.  Pay attention to your set point and how it plays out in relationships, finances, and the freedom and flow with which you move through the material world.  Allow subconscious beliefs and attitudes to surface so you can look at them and decide whether they are true or just an old belief that needs to be replaced.

Step 4: Pour clean water in a muddy bucket.

If you have a bucket with muddy water in the bottom, you don’t have to get the mud out.  You just need to pour in clear water.  As you begin the process of activating abundance, you will begin to learn the beliefs you hold that say “No.”  For example, maybe you have a subconscious belief that there’s something more spiritual or pious in poverty than in wealth.  It doesn’t matter where this belief comes from.  You don’t need to understand the roots of your beliefs, and you don’t have to dig them out.  Just focus on your “Yes!”  Pour in the clear water, and eventually every limitation will be gone.

To Your LIFE of Abundance!
